A native of Missouri, Tim Deatrick has served churches in Iowa, Missouri, Texas, and Arkansas. He is a graduate of Hannibal LaGrange College (Th.B) and Southwestern Seminary (MDivBL; D.Min). Tim and his wife Lisa reside in Waukee, Iowa, and are the proud parents of three adult children and a spoiled German Shepherd. In 2022, he became a grandfather for the first time.

Tim presently serves as the Director of Professional Services for MortarStone. The company provides generosity intelligence to congregations as well as coaching to pastors and church staffs to help disciple church members toward becoming fully formed givers.  He is a content developer and delivers gift planning seminars to churches and assists their members in making complex non-cash gifts. In support of this work he has earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) certification through The American College of Financial Services.

Tim holds a certification in Law Enforcement Chaplaincy through the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and as a certified mediator through the International Academy of Dispute Resolution.
