One of the churches I have the privilege of working with is Hope Chapel, located in Maui. I was able to communicate this week with them, and yes, the need is great.
Here is an excerpt from an email I received from Jim Franks who serves as the Church’s Executive Pastor:
Many thanks for this Tim- we are feeling uplifted by the prayers of His people! We are hitting the exhaustion phase as everyone has been sprinting since Wednesday. Many families arriving on our doorstep and we are helping with essentials, groceries, prayer and counseling, temporary housing. Daily convoys going into Lahaina (despite the red tape) via boat, helicopter, and truck.
